Springfield Community Theater Announces Cast of Forever Plaid

SPRINGFIELD, MA — Springfield Community Theater of MA is pleased to announce the cast and creative team for its upcoming production of Forever Plaid, the beloved musical comedy celebrating the close harmonies, polished style, and timeless songs of the 1950s and early 1960s,

The production features Billy Ray Poli as Francis, Ashley Duplessis as Jinx, Ashton Greene as Smudge, Craig Duda as Sparky, and Tony Ruggerio as the Stage Manager.

Together, the four performers bring to life a charming vocal group whose dreams of musical stardom are unexpectedly interrupted. Given one final opportunity to perform the concert they never had, the Plaids take audiences on a nostalgic and hilarious journey filled with classic songs, heartfelt moments, and beautifully blended harmonies.

The production’s highly experienced production team includes longtime theater and musical leaders, Gus Rousseau, Directing and Ben Mabrey as the Music Director with Vana Nespor and Angela Park producing the show for SCTofMA/52Sumner.

With its combination of comedy, friendship, and memorable music, Forever Plaid has delighted audiences for generations. The show features favorites from the golden era of vocal groups and offers an entertaining theatrical experience for longtime fans as well as those discovering the music for the first time.

Performances will take place at 52 Sumner in Springfield on Friday and Saturday, Sept 25 & 26, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Sept 27, at 2:00 p.m.
